One of Western Australia’s standout exports and WEX co-founder, KE-YEN, has been on a tear after a breakout European tour and recognition as one of Mixmag’s most exciting artists of 2025. His music has continued to reach new audiences, championed by heavyweights including X-Coast, Interplanetary Criminal, X Club., Skream, and Miley Serious. Now, KE-YEN steps up to deliver two percussive dancefloor weapons laced with funk-fuelled vocal cuts. Known for pushing house, trance, and speed garage, he takes his sound into fresh territory — tried, tested, and proven across world-renowned stages such as Keep Hush and Warehouse Project.
Having spent formative years on the dance floors of iconic Perth parties, Respondent has an established history within the Western Australian dance music scene. Drawing on diverse sounds, his productions and mixes shift through electro, techno, breakbeat, jungle and UK bass. He now makes his debut on WEX with two tracks designed for moments deep within the club. ‘Periscope’ delivers stripped back electro percussion, propelled with a sub-shaking robotic bass, whilst ‘Vital Strike’ shifts gears with urgent vocal cuts, intimidating synth stabs and a relentless 303 acid line.
